[Typo3] Site map for multiple sites?

Hello Listers,
I have a site that has eight tabs. Each tab is on the root level.
I tried to make a sitemap but it only shows the pages from the current page.
I tried to use typoscript to set the starting point to -1 but that did 
not work.
I want to create a sitemap of all my root pages and their subpages.
Is this possible with sitemap or do I need create a special menu in my 
template?
