[Typo3] How to copy a Typo3 project from one server to another

HI

How do you mysqldump the database to a specific folder?

I cant run mysqldump in global scope, so I copied it to the typo3conf 
folder and typed in mysqldump databasename and something happened, but 
no files where created.
