[Typo3] Clean Extension for Learning

I am looking for an extension that I can read for learning how to write my 
own.

Does anybody know an extension that is pretty simple but makes extensive use 
or Typo3 Core classes and is known to be nice and clean code?

I am especially interested in DB realtions.
