[Typo3] Multiple execution of functions

Hi there,

i got a strange problem with typo3. I have a php skript inside a page 
which sends an email when executed. Logically it gets exectuted only 
once and shows up like expected, but internally it must be parsed often 
since a mail() sends up to 3 messages when i show the page!

Even more strange the same problem with a mail() inside an extension 
function - the very same behaviour.

Did someone else recognize something like this? The pages have in common 
that they´re not cached an i use realURL but realURL doesnt seem to be 
the problem.

Once again the behaviour: uncached page with script is opened, 
everything is fine but the "logic" behind seems to be executed up to 
three times.

strange...

any ideas?
