Thank You Rob! It worked perfectly.  IE version is no longer broken, I 
guess the "xml:lang="nl-NL" lang="nl-NL" made a big difference.

Yes, Christopher, it had to be something done in typo3 because the HTML 
template was perfectly fine, I spent days making sure it was cross 
browser capable, then it became broken in Typo3.

But thanks for the tip about the google search, I might find that very 
useful. :)
