[Typo3] hide but still show up?

Thanks very much for the hint.  I'm sure I saw that 'not in menu' 
setting somewhere.  But cannot find where to set it now.  I noticed in 
the Edite Page Header of the page, there is a check box 'Hide in menu'. 
  I checked it but that menu item still show up.
