Anywhre in the setup is a checkbox to enable recursive delete

I tried to delete a whole site by deleting its root page.  The following 
error returned.

1: Attempt to delete page which has subpages

Do I have to delete the subpages one by one from the lowest level?  Is 
there any way to blow the whole site away right away?
