[Typo3] Indexed Search Engine - Newb question

Hello,

First question to the list. I'm reading the the documentation about the Indexed Search Engine and I see that it is possible to define what will be indexed through the use of the <!--TYPO3SEARCH_begin--> and <!--TYPO3SEARCH_end--> around the content in the template. Does this mean that only what is between these tags will also appear in the results? It seems like that would be the case.
