[Typo3] where is the Type field when creating a new page?

I'm following 
http://typo3.org/documentation/document-library/doc_tut_ftb1/The_Storage_Folder/ 
to set up SysFolder.
But on my site, I cannot see the Type field and the TSconfield as shown 
in the document .  I can only see 'Hide page', 'Pagetitle' and 'Alias' 
fields.  Do I need to turn on some config somewhere?  I vaguely remember 
without much details seeing some doc mention that advance mode has to be 
turned on for the TSconfig field to show up.

I'd appreciate any help.
