[Typo3] © gets converted to ©

I'm using a footer on each page which contains a copyright-notice with 
the copyright-character (this is in my Template TS setup):
FOOTER = TEXT
FOOTER {
value = Copyright 2005 © Company
}

Problem is, the '&' in '©' gets converted to '©' by 
qcom_htmlcleaner. So the FE shows exactly this text: "Copyright 2005 
© Company".

How can I correct this behaviour?
