[Typo3] Running Typo3 Without ImageMagick

I just installed the static linked version of ImageMagick and put it right in the www folder along with all the public html pages. I used ../../../www/imagemagick-4.2.9/bin/ for the path to find it. It finds it ok, but nothing works. On the site I get empty spots where the pictures should be, even the ones that are not being resized. For the pictures to be resized, the correct size hole is there for the picture.

Half way there, but still no cigar for this server.
