[Typo3] Flexible Content not showing correctly?

I am following the Futuristic Template Building and I am at a section 
for Flexible Contents.  It is a very useful tool.  However it is not 
showing correctly on the main page.  It appeares... "style-less".

For flexible content, when creating the new TO and DS, can we use a 
seperate html document rather then the one I used for the whole page 
template?  I have two different html files, one is used for the page 
template, the other is for this flexible content.

Can that be done?  Look at my problem for yourself:

That page should look like this:
http://www.stratcommandcenter.com/redesign/fileadmin/templates/static2.html

That above HTML file is the file I used for the flex content.

Btw, another question... when I create the flex content outside of the 
"Page TemplaVoila" it does not show... but when I click new content in 
the templa voila page view, it does not show anything for flex contents. 
  Is this a bug?
