[Typo3] RTE & images

Hi list

Here is the scenario:

I create new content, just text element. In RTE i put one picture, named contact.gif. When i save, in my uploads directory RTE makes two files:

RTEmagicC_contact.gif.gif
RTEmagicP_contact.gif

Everything OK. But now i erase this image in the RTE, but these two files are NOT deleted in uploads directory. This means that after some time it will be A LOT of these pictures in uploads directory. So how do i make RTE to "clean" these pictures if they are deleted in RTE???
