[Typo3] Fehler beim Kontaktieren des Ext-Repository

Hallo Folks,

just set up a new FreeBSD server i cannot connect to the extension 
repository. Scanning the mailing list i didn't find any solution. I am 
using the latest mod_php4 Version (4.3.10-2,1)available for FreeBSD. 
Memory limit is raised (even 20 megs dont change anything).

Message is:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to 
allocate 54 bytes) in 
/srv/www/rolf/phonebox/typo3_src-3.6.2/typo3/mod/tools/em/index.php on 
line 4026

Is there any hint, where to start eliminating the fault.
