[Typo3] GD/Freetype -- overlapping buttons in Green template

I have found that by giving a number (between 5 and 10) spaces at the 
end of the pagetitle, the butons dont overlap. I do think this shouldn't 
be the way to go. The other problem I face is the color settings 
available in the template backend. No matter which colors I select, the 
dropdown menu list remains green.

I have made new buttons for the background and buttons but the submenu 
remains green.

Any idea's?
