[Typo3] New table row after 4. menu item

I'm nearly sorry for posting this but I've searched the archives and FAQs and everything and could not find the answer.

I have a horizontal menu table with 8 items and I want to start a new table row after the 4. item. Otherwise the menu would be too wide for the screen.

I tried to use optionSplit but I must be too stupid.
Please help me.
