[Typo3] Stats and AWStats trouble

Hi Francois,

Is the [some path on my server] under the typo3-root? As far as i remember
the logfile_dir has to be relative to the typo3-root, fx. under the
fileadmin-folder or simply a log/-folder alongside the other folders in the
root. I think this has something to do with Typo3's write-permissions.

Best regards,

Jesper

Hi all,

I have just installed the latest version of cc_awstats (0.9.0) and I
have trouble making it work. I have defined a path to the logfil_dir in
the localconf.php file, along the lines of:

$TYPO3_CONF_VARS["FE"]["logfile_dir"] = '/[some path on my
server]/logs/typo3/';

which writable by Apache. Additionally I have set up the following in
my template setup:

config.stat = 1
config.stat_apache = 1
config.stat_apache_logfile = typo3.log
config.stat_titleLen = 30
config.stat_excludeBEuserHits = 1
config.stat_excludeIPList = 194.38.181.68

The file which exists and is writable too.

When I access the web site (without being logged as a BE user and from
another IP than the one excluded) I have no entries in the log file.
Furthermore, when I access AWStats, it says:

ERROR:
The logfile directory '' configured in typo3conf/localconf.php as ''
was NOT found!

Why does it mention an empty directory in the error message when the
logfile_dir configuration is obviously not empty? It feels like those
two problems are related.

Any ideas anyone?
