:)  Slang for error messages.  "Barf" in american slang means "vomit".  Just
check the apache error logs for php errors while trying to send mail.

So just run the dmailerd.phpcron file directly to test it without the
redirection stuff.  All the output is directed to /dev/null, so you'll never
know if it goes bad (e-barfs).

My suggestion for navigating direct_mail is to install the test site with
all the examples, read over the direct mail tutorial, experiment like mad,
and pray a lot.  Worked for me.  :)
