[Typo3] CSS-styled content

ok, so i found out if you set all spacing to 0, the spacer-gifs and
most the code goes away...
specifically though, how do i have it not out <p style="margin:0 0 0
;"> | </p> for each paragraph.  Is this from the transformation
engine?
