[Typo3] Bug in tt_content?

Hí (again).

Is there still a bug in tt_news concerning itemLinkTarget?
I'm working on a page with frames, and when I want to open the news in Single view in a certain frame, it just won't work.

I found an older thread in this mailinglist concerning the same problem.
It seems to have been a bug i tt_news so it can't handle frames this way.

So I wonder, have this bug been fixed?
I've tried to download the code (class.tx_ttnews.php) on sourceforge, but unfortunately it resaults in a blank page (?)... So I guess it's not working well.

Anyone who knows how to solve this problem,
or have a tip about any other extension which can handle news and frames?

I would be very, very grateful for any answer.
