Well ... You talk about the Editor making an <p>|</p> when you press enter.

The solution is to press SHIFT-ENTER instead.

If you save the contents of the RTE (press the save button) all <BR> will be converted to <p> again.

the solution to this problem is another one:

Add the following TS Config to the Page-Header of your Root-Page:

RTE.default.proc.dontConvBRtoParagraph = 1
