[Typo3] publish pages from backend

Hi folks...

I just wondered if there is a way to publish pages in the backend, 
instead of using the admin panel.

This would be cool, because when publishing to the site root static 
pages are served, which do not contain the admin panel anymore 
(logically). Then the only way to update a page is to delete its 
html-counterpart in the filesystem, which is odd!

Any hints?
