[Typo3] Found a really wierd bug when adding $0 to my page content

Hello
Has this ever been resolved?
  Another issue is when the US $ symbol is used like so
$10,000
  It becomes 
$,000
  when rendered to the front. This is very serious for a us market.
Any thoughts on why this is occuring?
