[Typo3] CHC-Forum page titles

Hello.

I am trying to modify the chc-forum to display category titles and 
thread titles in the <title>-tags.

I managed to change the page titles in all other tested extensions by 
adding something like

$GLOBALS['TSFE']->page['title']='XYZ';

to the main function.

But i don't get that to work in chc forum, no matter where i add the code.

Any ideas?
