I've got clients wanting to allow multiple back-end authors to create
and edit only their own news articles.

One unacceptable solution is creating multiple news repositories and
creating file mounts in the back-end user profile. Each author then
gets their own news repository.

The goal is to keep the news articles in one repository, but only
letting authors create or edit their own in that repository.

I know from looking at the pages tables, there's the fields of:
perms_userid, perms_groupid, perms_user, perms_group, and
perms_everybody.

Has anyone tried applying such permissions before? What were your
experiences to this? Any advice?

Thanks for any thoughts,

Michael
