[Typo3] Staging for TYPO3

What is the status on this? I want to utilize TYPO3, but I want to
feel confident in a staging/production environment. Looked high and
low, and nothing about HOW to do this.... ANY IDEAS would be great...

I know the topic was discussed a few months ago - sorry to bring this
up again - but I read in this CMS review :

that Typo3 had staging system ? All the threads I read on the topic in
the list sem to say the foundation is there but no work was finished.
Is that still the case ?

For my own part I do not fully agree with the report, but that would
be another topic.
