Thanx Joey,

you´re right, things could be so simple !
it was a local browser cache problem :)

I was wondering if you have a solution hint for the naming problem
described in the first post concerning
	lib.mainMenu.1.imgNamePrefix = menu_
instead of random names, have you ?

grtz, harry

You are right and this is why TYPO3 does this by default. The images are
written to the temp directory once a change happens and on each next hit
they are taken from this cache.
Maybe it's not a TYPO3 caching problem but a caching problem of your browser
that makes it look as if all images were created again even though they are
just reloaded each time you hit the page.

Joey
