[Typo3] How to use StaticPublish

Is it anyone here that have used the extension StaticPublish for generating static html-pages?
The only manual I've found is written in german (and I don't understand german very much), 
and I would be grateful for some guidance.

I've managed to install the extension, but then I guess I've made some configurations wrong, couse the process fails.
Anyone with experience or knowledge concerning this?
