[Typo3] TemplaVoila templates folder error ---- DUMB SOLUTION ----- Experienced help needed

Hi,
I experienced the following problem using TemplaVoila.
After creating the Templates directory, when I placed my "mytemplate.html" 
in the folder, I got this message:

C:\apache\htdocs\quickstart\typo3conf\ext\templavoila\mod2\index.php on line 
1444

So, having no PHP programming knowledge, and as I didn´t know what else to 
do, I decided to comment the line.
Dumb as it seems, the TV started to work.
Line 1444 codes:

'fileref='.$GLOBALS['TYPO3_DB']->fullQuoteStr($file, 
'tx_templavoila_tmplobj').

I´d like to know what I might be messing.
