[Typo3] safe_mode on or off

Hi Michael,

I tried it and now comes the funny part:
In my website root (httpdocs): disabled
In the typo3 dir and underlying: enabled
If I make a testdir within the root: disabled

There is no .htaccess file within the typo3 dir so that can not be the
reason for locally overwritten safemode settings.

The question now is, are there other ways save mode could be configured on a
per directory basis? I think the only one I could think off is httpd.conf.
Do you have other ideas?

Best,

Janno

I don't understand why TYPO3 should think that safe-mode is enabled.

If you just call this little dummy script, what is the output?

<?php
echo 'safe_mode is '.(ini_get("safe_mode")?'enabled':'disabled');
?>
