[Typo3] Mail to front end user group

Hello,

 

I want to be able to email to a front end user group. All the front end
users and groups are in one SysFolder. I've tried the direct mail
extension, but it will only mail to all front end users, not separate
groups. So I'd have to add the users to a direct mail group manually,
which would be a lot of maintenance. Is there an easier way to do this?
