Hi Janno

This is the first reference I've found to this issue with Front End User Registration ( sr_feuser_register ). Our site is using a shared secure certificate that requires us to use the host's url "http://clients.host.com/~client/"

I had set config.absRefPrefix to /~client/ which has resulted in the behaviour described above.

I think there is something in class.t3lib_htmlmail.php possibly in the function absRef($ref) that is unable to parse the tilde ( ~ ) in our location. I think you are right in that if you use anything else but the standard www.host.com.nl etc. or a subdirectory in the form of /client/ then you will have problems with the confirmation link sent to the user for confirmation of their registration.

I can't see a way around it without a writing an extension to the fucntion absRef() but even then it will be difficult to work around the tilde problem within PHP.
