[Typo3] Customising RTE

Hi, 
I'm trying to add a table style and a table column style to the character
style dropdown of the RTE.

I've used this code

RTE.classes { 

       TableHeader1 { 
      name = first table header
      value = color: red; backgound-color:blue;
      } 
} 

RTE.default.classesTable = TableHeader1


but the class doesn't appear in the dropdown.  Do I need to do something
else?
