Oke,

Listen brother. The file has not a html extension but tmpl (but that can be 
every word you like)
It's called guestbook_template.tmpl in the pi1 directory.
If you explored the Extension Manager you would surely found it

BUT . . .

because on every update it's renewed I suggest to copy it (with the same or 
an other name) to your fileadmin directory.

In my TS-template I wrote:

plugin.tx_veguestbook_pi1.file.templateFile = fileadmin/guestbook.tmpl

Setup
plugin.tx_veguestbook_pi1 {
  _CSS_DEFAULT_STYLE >
  emoticons.active = 1

And in my default CSS-file I added the desired stuff.
