[Typo3] article list and presentation

I am having problems with the Article Complex extension (it doesn't
honor <p>) least I think it's  the extension (I've tried different
RTEs). So if I change what are people using to display articles?

I need something to 
* display a list of titles on one page from articles on other pages.
* display the article preferably with navigation between page breaks
* preferably also with space to comment (or link to news)

is there such a beast about?
