[TYPO3] News and frames problem

Hello list,

for a day now i've been trying to get the news plugin to properly
display its contents in a frame.

My frame consists of 3 parts :
- a headerimage
- a navigation (static) bar
- a content frame

The content frame consists of three content fields (left, content, right).
The content field displays a LIST of the last items. The box in the
upperright displays an item the LATEST item from another category of
newsrecords. In the lowerright is a box with the archive (per month).

I\ve tried the 
plugin.tt_news.pageTypoLink.additionalParams = '&type=3'
plugin.tt_news.pageTypoLink.target = page+

that was suggested in some archived mailings but it just doesn't seem
to work for me. Every time when you click on any of the created links
it will just load in the lower content frame along with the
headerimage- and navframe and because of that it loses the
querystrings that should be passed along to be able to view an item.

Anyone had a similair problems and knows a solution ?
