[Typo3] caching of pages does not work

Hi all,

this may be easy for you, but I don't get it. I installed indexed search 
and do not get any pages indexed. Could someone please check my steps 
and tell me if I missed something?



I did the follwing:

- Installed the extension

- added the following to setup:
      page.config {
         no_cache=0  (also tried without this line)
         index_enable = 1
         language = de
         admPanel = 0
      }
      plugin.tx_indexedsearch.search.rootPidList = -1 (also tried with 
other values and completely without this line)

- cleared all caches

- logged out

- closed the session (i.e. Browser)

- Opened the Browser again

- Went to Frontend and clicked some pages

- logged in Backend again and checked Indexing Tool: Nothing is cached
