[TYPO3] Indexed search - alter page description/resume

Hi,

I'd like to alter the resumes that indexed search generates since all data 
in the beginning of the page is menu-data. Everything in front of the string 
"MAIN CONTENT:" should be removed.

I tried changing the function bodyDescription in class.indexer.php but that 
did not do the trick.

Was this the wrong function or do I need to take another look at my code?
