[TYPO3] How to get rid of wrapping DIV when integrating an extension

It is generally good to have it because you may want to style it later.

So, what is the problem with it? If no styles set for it, it simply will
not be styled.

Just do nothing. As I understood you do not want any specific styling
for this DIV. Just leave it as is, unstyled.
