[Typo3] tt_news (v2), graphical PageBrowser Buttons?

Hello,

is it possible to get tt_news (v2) to generate the PageBrowser links
(e.g. 1 2 3 next) as graphical buttons (best GIFBUILDER due to RO, CUR
states)?
Does someone have hints or receipes for this?
