[Typo3] fileadmin and viewing the template htm files

Curious.. Doesn't the typo3 fileadmin section suppose to be, when you click
on an item in there(like an .htm file) It'll
pop-up & show you that?  My html template files were doing that all day
yesterday, & then all of sudden today its not working. You click on the
filelink & nothing happens.  anyone know if there's a possible configuration
i flicked on or off to make this effect go away?
