[Typo3] Login form in urban nomad template?

I read your thread you posted to the TYPO3 mailing list regarding the login form in the urban nomad template. I am encountering the same problem but did not succeed perfoming the steps you described. Maybe I understood something wrong. So my question is if you could maybe explain me what you did step by step.

Well, in addition I maybe should describe you what I did so that you can maybe explain what I am doing wrong:

I modified the urbannomad.html for login_logout as you described it:

So now I entered the code you have entered to the mailing list in the TS setup code section in the template section in my backend. Nothing happened except that <!-- ###LOGIN_LOGOUT### START --> <!-- ###LOGIN_LOGOUT### END --> were displayed in my top navigation bar. After that I thougt this might be the mistake and I entered it into the setup.txt file in the static directory of the template. Same result. 

I am making some mistakes or maybe do not know what you mean by "template setup". so, I really would appreciate it very, very much, if you could give a step-by-step decsription on how to create the login form in my top navigation bar.
