What? My misunderstanding or the modifications in the same part of the page?

I don't know. But make your own example.

Make a "placeholder" (pe with a "div" tag) in your HTML-template and 
map/fill it in Typoscript.

If it's static, I think you can fill it with a static file.
Else you can fill it with a content part (one of the unused columns of 
the home page) or a self written extension.
