Hello List,

I am looking at migrating a site to typo3 that has previously used HtDig as
its search engine.

There is one feature of HtDig of which I don´t know whether it is available
in the Typo3 indexed search, and that is the (per language) configuration of
"bad words" which are, in HtDig, not indexed, and therefore not found.

1) HtDig uses this to keep grammatical filler words out of the index
databases. Such as "the, is, of, it" or "der, die, das, ist" in German... -
This makes the index smaller.

2) Also this feature is sometimes used to "censor" certain search words,
even though they visibly occur in the pages and users will see them when
they visit the pages (yes, this has been thought up by lawyers, but clients
have really been doing this in some circumstances).

Is something like this available in the Typo3 indexed search, or is there a
good argument why this feature makes no sense for Typo3?
2) can of course also be implemented by some dirty hacks in the plugin, but
I´m not aware of any indexing filter.

Thanks for any hints,

Christian Reiter
