Hi Eckbert,

Unless your RTE is incorrectly configured, the a tag will be converted into a link tag on the way to the database and vice versa.

However, note that the title attribute is not supported by typolink. Therefore, if you set a title attribute on a link, it will not be converted and will remain an a tag.
