[Typo3] BE frame goes blank after saving content?

I have only been able to check Firefox and Konqueror on Linux, both result
in the same problem so I am sure it is not browser related. 

TYPO3 3.8
Apache/2.0.50 (Fedora)
PHP Version 4.3.10
MySQL 3.23.58
etc....

I have several other installs running on the same server, various TYPO3
versions not experiencing the same problem.
