[Typo3] vcd_calendar not displaying events

Hi,
I have a problem with vcd_calendar. I can't make it display the events. 
There is only calendar header and a button for event submission. All other 
stuff is working except this. I found another thred with the same problem, 
but unfortunately unanswered.

There must be current events between the header "Upcoming Events" and the 
button "Event submission by guests"

Any ideas?
