[Typo3] Sharing content between content elements

Well - no sarcasm here. I just wanted to point out that this IS a content
element and NOT an extension.
It's in the selectbox and usually directly after "menu/sitemap".
If this is not the case, maybe someone disabled this element type for some
reason.
Could be an admin user or maybe an extension programmer who did it.
CSS-styled-content for exmaple disables the "splash" element.
Check your extensions and/or TS-config.
