[Typo3] update T3 to 3.8.0

what kind of troubles can I expect when upgrading from 3.6.2 to 3.8.0 (or 
latest). Will all extensions work? and if no how can i find out or read with 
extensions are not compatible?

BTW, our hack lately was caused by a phpmyadmin leak  ;(
