[Typo3] Rewrite URL

Having typo3 run in a sub folder allows you to have a second installation
for test purposes in the same environment, lets call one /live and the
other /dev.

Once you are happy with dev, copy the whole folder to live, instant updated
site. It allows you to run new Extensions and test new things without fear
of upsetting the live version.

You can share databases or keep them separate depending on your needs.

The downside is the URL directions.

Most hosts will no longer allow editing of the httpd.conf or equivalent file
and so adding serverAliases or changing the document roots is not possible.

I have tried in vain to achieve this through rewrite and it seems not to be
possible.
